Lesson 32. Revelations of Love

Together with our world, God created all the discoveries and laws that exist today. Every modern achievement and technology was known to the Creator from the beginning, and He provided that at the end of earthly history we would draw upon an abundance and variety of new knowledge so that people might use it for their benefit and development. Not everything discovered by humanity brings benefit, and not everything is used by us for its intended purpose.

And how many discoveries are classified as secret and directed toward killing, infecting, and destroying! We will never know about them, but they exist. The enemy of souls uses every method to make all the benefits of civilization harm humanity. But God seeks to turn everything to good. Two paths are set before us, and the choice remains ours.

There is, however, one interesting quality in discoveries. What I study has always existed, but it becomes mine when I discover it and decide to use it for myself.

Consider radio, for example. Radio waves have existed ever since creation. But someone decided to study the invisible world of radio waves and discovered that it has its own laws and relationships. This achievement made it possible to transmit information very quickly over great distances without wires. Of course, the pioneers could not see the future and knew nothing of cellular communication or the internet, but step by step they followed the path of new discoveries and rejoiced in the possibilities made available through advances in the study of these laws. In the end, it became apparent that our world is one great radio receiver capable of receiving and transmitting information. Combined with discoveries in electrification, bioengineering, microbiology, and other fields, our planet appears as one whole organism living harmoniously according to all these laws, which interact with one another in every sphere.

The School of Agape Love helps us touch the eternal laws that have existed from the very foundation of the Universe. To us they are still entirely new and barely perceptible, but as we study and comprehend them, we discover an invisible and beautiful world that we had never imagined before and whose existence we had not suspected. This world of love has always existed and will stand throughout Eternity. God created it as the foundation of the Universe, but it is revealed only to those who investigate and seek it. This world is so amazing, so simple and at the same time so complex, that few people dare to enter its territory and, having entered, to continue onward. It inspires awe through its might and power, its beauty and diversity. The world of love is so fascinating that when I immerse myself in it, I can forget everything else. This world interacts with all humanity in an attempt to preserve it from self-destruction and catastrophe. Yet humanity chooses another path—the path of sin and death. God, however, desires to rescue people from this fatal self-deception by offering them something better.

Agape Love exists. It will always exist. It does not hide from people. It is available to everyone who begins to study, seek, and desire it. It is not difficult to receive, for it was created for you and me, for human happiness. Agape Love was confirmed by the blood of Christ and is given by Him to everyone who is born again unto Eternal life.

As I study the laws of love and the principles of interaction with those near me, I make new discoveries and tune my “radio receiver” to God’s frequency, upon which the Lord transmits to me new revelations about Himself, clothing them in simple words, thoughts, and feelings accessible to my perception. He draws the image of love in my consciousness and dissolves it into every cell of my awareness and thinking, making it part of me. God has hidden Himself within love, and in this simple way, within the bounds of my freedom, He enters my being.

He reveals to me new, great, and inaccessible things that I do not know, and He makes them part of my life. At the beginning I cannot imagine what will come afterward, but by faith I comprehend great things and plunge into the depths of new revelations that roll over me like ocean waves.

In the light of love, the entire Bible becomes a living Book written about agape. And I understand that love is both mercy and justice in one Person and in absolute harmony. I cannot separate one from the other.

God is great in His mercy toward the sinner and terrible in His justice toward sin. This combination both fascinates and frightens me. But God calms me and assures me that while I am learning His love, He will tenderly care for me and correct all my mistakes at His own expense. And I continue learning.

I have learned to give my cares to God, and He Himself carries this burden. But when I decide that I have achieved something, have become great, and begin to grow proud, He places my entire burden back upon me, and I simply howl from weakness beneath the weight of my cares. I ask Him to deliver me, humble myself, repent, and receive freedom.

Revelations of love are given to me by God in response to my seeking and investigation. It is impossible to study these eternal laws, learning their power and constancy, and yet remain outside the sphere of their influence. They enter my life and transform it. Love is like a radioactive field: while in its presence, you receive a certain dose of radiation, and it remains within you forever. The nearer you come to the source of radiation, the stronger the exposure. Then I myself become someone through whom this radiation, by invisible threads, can influence perception and transmit its influence to others. Just as it is impossible to become radioactive without a source of radiation, so it is impossible to learn to love without believing in God and having a relationship with Him.

Like the pioneers of radio, we do not know what the future worldwide web of love will look like, but it is certain that it exists within God’s purposes. We simply need to continue onward from victory to victory, from revelation to revelation, overcoming difficulties and resistance without fearing storms and trials.

The One Who is Love is with us.

When a family is formed, we see the union of two different beings who have decided to become one. But time is needed to learn about one another, reveal themselves to one another, love, study, know, and test one another. The same law operates in the science of love. Love is not revealed in a single day, but gradually enters life through small daily revelations and becomes part of me. I come to know God, fall in love with Him, discover His Power and beauty, prove Him, and begin by entrusting Him with small things, then great things, and finally myself. I believe Him, learn to communicate with Him, and become so accustomed to this that I recognize His voice everywhere. I see His image in those near me who walk with Him. I feel His power and influence in every trial. From all this, my life with Jesus is gradually formed, and the love of God becomes mine. I love not because love was accidentally given to me somewhere as an inheritance from a wealthy relative, but because God Himself taught me in His School of Agape Love.

And this school is located between my right ear and my left, at the very center of the great controversy between good and evil. I decide which side will prevail. Christ has won the victory in this war, and if I am united with Him, His victory becomes mine.

Love is all around me. It is always present, and at some point I simply need to take it and discover it for myself—which is what I am doing.
