What We Have Come To?
Our earthly life is conditioned by the fact that we, men and women, were created for each other. The difference in our worldviews does not divide us, but rather attracts us. An attraction to the opposite sex was embedded in our minds, and this feature has been preserved to this day.
When it comes to love, many immediately perceive it as the infatuation of a man and woman with each other with all the ensuing consequences. We deliberately avoided this side of life in order to carefully examine and understand the foundation of love, its principles and laws of interaction with the surrounding world. All of this was necessary in order to learn to distinguish the eternal from the earthly, the temporary from the unconditional. Such knowledge laid a solid foundation in our consciousness, upon which happiness, love and friendship with all people can be built. This is what we were called for, so that, believing in Jesus, we could be guided in our lives by those principles which our Savior adhered to until His death.
Creating a family without understanding the laws of love, guided only by intuition and knowledge from modern films, is a very risky undertaking.
Preserving already created relationships without love in one's mind is even more difficult. And restoring destroyed connections without knowing what love is and how it works is pure fantasy.
Unfortunately, the statistics of divorces and destroyed relationships in families among believers differ almost nothing from what is happening in the world, and this is a sign of the last times, which we need to take into account in order to know how not to become part of these statistics.
The time to love has come. It came long ago, but when I am armed with knowledge, it becomes clearer to me what to do and how to behave, what I need to refrain from, and what is worth practicing in moderation.
When I tell a person of the opposite sex that I love them, I understand what is being discussed and what I put into this expression, but at the same time I realize that this person understands me according to their level of education in the science of love and hears exactly what they are capable of hearing at their level.
I can also hear words of love addressed to me and understand perfectly well what kind of love is being discussed, and, being a married person, I delicately redirect everything into the right channel, without pushing away the interlocutor, but also without giving reason for sinful thoughts.
God has called us to love one another, and He is pleased to see His love in our relationships. Friends who love each other can accomplish much more in the right spirit, because they are bound by the closest bonds of love and friendship.
Creating a family is the most responsible undertaking that has ever been entrusted to man, and which should be approached very seriously. In this science there are its own laws, its own peculiarities and principles that must be taken into account.
If you take any profession and find a specialist in it, you can immediately determine that before becoming a professional, they studied for several years, had extensive practical experience honing their skills and knowledge, understand where and what mistakes occur, and know how to quickly restore what shows signs of malfunction. And we agree that such people are in their right place and are worthy of engaging in and managing the work entrusted to them.
But if you look at how families are created, you want to cry at how hastily this is done.
When I was doing military service, my appearance inspired confidence in me among the officers, and I was appointed to responsible command positions, but I simply didn't know what to do with it and how to cope with the trust shown. As a result, my army career led me from being deputy platoon commander to being gradually demoted to the rank of private with a sergeant's title. A better position is impossible to imagine. You're not bothered like a sergeant, and there's no responsibility, like a simple soldier. By the end of my service I had learned something after all, but no one wanted to entrust me with anything anymore.
The Army of Christ, although it has its own charter and laws, is still very similar in some principles of internal structure to worldly enterprises.
Observing people, I identified for myself two types of the most destructive catastrophes in human life. The first is when a person turns their back on Golgotha and refuses to accept the offered salvation. The second is when a hasty family is created, which also quickly begins to collapse. An unsuccessful marriage is not an accident, but a very natural result of hastily made decisions.
If in the first catastrophe nothing can be fixed, and there is no other name under Heaven by which we should be saved, then in the second catastrophe there are still chances to change something and build something solid, although scars and painful memories may remain forever. And if children have appeared, then any breakup not only ruins your life, but also harms those who do not understand everything that is happening and do not know how to live on.
Love knows how to restore ruins. It is always worth remembering that for God there is nothing too difficult that He could not figure out. He is able to help solve any problem in the best way.
Studying love, we have approached the most important topic: "Family Relationships," which I suggest we dive into headfirst, applying all available knowledge about love, happiness and friendship. Let us learn this art of life.
I myself have been in my first marriage for more than 30 years with a wife who is 10 years older than me and married for the second time. I have a daughter and two granddaughters. More than 13 years ago I came to know the power of God's agape love, which taught me much, which I now share with you.
If you already have a family, or had one, or it is falling apart, or you are planning to create one, or are just dreaming about it, then I think that additional knowledge about family matters in the light of agape love will not be superfluous and will help you understand yourself and restore what was destroyed, or build what was missed.
Welcome to the new class of learning. I think that our flight will be pleasant for everyone and will bring much benefit and happiness.
It is never too late to learn to love. Bringing all your plans and relationships to love and friendship is the best undertaking. Bringing love into any sphere of your life is the most blessed decision that will have absolute success with eternal consequences.
There is nothing more joyful than having a life companion with whom you can plan and carry out everything that comes to mind. There is nothing more interesting than planning the happiness of your other half and seeing how they accept it and rejoice, trying to respond in kind.
No matter how much family relationships are criticized and attempts are made to pervert them, the family will always be that cell of society in which the success and welfare of any state is embedded.
The family and the Sabbath are two institutions that were taken by sinful man from Eden. Therefore, the enemy of the soul attacks them most of all. But we are at war not to lose and surrender positions, giving Satan what does not belong to him.
The family is a union that we, together with our character, will be able to take to Heaven, so it is worth investing all our means and strength in the development and improvement of this enterprise according to God's standards.
