Глава 43

What Will We Live On and Where?

Having decided to be friends with the purpose of entering marriage, we enter into very interesting relationships that promise us many changes. We are inspired by the romantic prospects of the approaching culmination, and we, experiencing this anticipation, build our future happiness already now.

I imagine how joyful it will be for us together, and I will be able to hug her at all times, and she thinks about how I will carry her in my arms and delight her with my constant care. Our expectations coincide in something, and in some moments we differ in opinions. But we like this too, and we look at life cheerfully, giving everything to God in prayer.

But surrounding circumstances have brought us to a strange situation to discuss the question of what we will live on and where we will live. I am very satisfied with my parents' kitchen, and her mother cooks quite well too. I think that if they get an extra mouth, they will not even notice it. After all, we are relatives, and you cannot get away from us.

And why think about this?! We will somehow get through this question too and definitely think of something. After all, there are so many people around us, and they are all fed and somehow live, and we will live. And for us to be well, we should not think about our everyday life, let our parents take care of this, because they love us and will not allow us to be deprived of anything. And if anything, then grandmother's pension will come to help.

To my surprise, the parents of my future queen also became very interested in how I could support their daughter, and, inviting us for a conversation, they began to ask what specialty I have, what work experience, how much I already earn, and what prospects I have. A flurry of unexpected questions fell upon me, from which I at first joked, but then understood that everything was quite serious and now the question of our further friendship was being decided.

I felt uncomfortable from the realization that, besides myself and my body, I could not offer anything substantial for their daughter. And she listened with great interest to my answers and smiled sadly.

I became ashamed of myself, and I confessed that I know nothing except working with a smartphone, but I can quickly google any information and find the correct answer in the search results. And I can also beautifully sing spiritual songs, which gathers thousands of likes. And my blogger jokes bring wild delight to all my subscribers, of whom I already have several thousand.

But the bride's parents were interested in what I would support their daughter on, and where we plan to live after the wedding. From these questions I understood that they want to get rid of us, and counting on full parental care would not work. I did not even imagine that everything could be so complicated. It seemed to me that our mutual love would be enough for us to be well, and the wife's parents would be delighted with such a son-in-law who so tenderly loves their child, and would take care of us for the sake of their daughter.

My fiancée also began to ask questions about the material side of life, which simply disconcerted me. I counted on the fact that her salary could cover all our needs, and I would continue my creativity and feel her support in this matter.

In conversation with the parents I understood the deplorable state of my prosperity and did not know what to answer, but honestly admitted it. And with this I surprised no one. They saw this from the first day of our acquaintance, but waited for a convenient occasion to help me understand this. I realized that they love their daughter and love me too, and want to support us.

I was least interested in the material side of our future, because happiness is not in money. But it turned out that this too needs to be thought about. I began to recall my experiences and interests and decided that some useful specialty would not hurt.

The question of housing also surprised me. My parents have my room, and she has her own in her house. Why look for something when everything is there? I remember from the history of our culture that a son brought his wife into the house and lived like that together with his parents. But now, apparently, times are different. Although I understand that separately from everyone, independently, it is more interesting to live, but at current housing prices it is unrealistic to buy something. This is a burden for life! And here, at parents', everything is there. And we will also bear them grandchildren, and let them rejoice. And it will be convenient for us to leave children under supervision. How complicated everything is if you start to sort it out! How do others solve this? I do not understand.

Left alone with my friend, I assured her of my love. But against the background of the past conversation, my words looked ridiculous, and I understood that you cannot spread them on bread. But she turned out to be very enterprising and began to describe my abilities, developing which I could earn quite well. I revived, and we began together to make a new business plan, in which my fiancée also decided to participate. We decided that we need to live separately from everyone and in complete self-sufficiency. Let this be little, but this will be our world, in which we ourselves will be masters.

We prayed and began to collect the necessary information, ask friends and brethren about what was unclear to us. We even decided to trade sunflower seeds on the street to get into the principles of trade.

The prayer of faith in these matters was very appropriate, and we saw how the Heavenly Father opens our eyes and gives wisdom in making the right decisions. And our parents, seeing our enterprise, offered to help us in our searches and even support us with money if there is an acute need. And we already wanted to solve everything ourselves and not burden anyone with our cares.

The Lord made us understand that at first we do not necessarily have to buy our own housing. It can be rented while we determine where to live and what to do.

We learned to attend all kinds of trainings, seminars, and courses to understand how we can better use our potential and realize our dreams.

It turned out that the most important event was a course on healthy eating, the ability to cook properly and at the same time lead a healthy lifestyle. We joyfully plunged into this science too, sharing with each other our revelations and achievements in this sphere. Our friendship became much tastier and healthier.

Having learned to relate correctly to money and to our way of life, we were no longer afraid to enter adult life, but joyfully awaited that day when we would say "Yes" to each other and continue to build that in which a solid Foundation was laid.

We did not lose each other in our friendship, having met unforeseen difficulties, but experienced how the Lord turned everything for good to us and our parents. I began to notice that the friend's parents began to respect me very much, and I was very grateful to them, because they with such love revealed our serious omissions and supported us in their elimination.

The question of where and what we will live on is very relevant and quite acutely posed in many families. And it is desirable to solve it before the wedding, and solve it practically. Not everything that suits me will suit us, and this needs to be foreseen and discussed. In some cases, family life in the parental home will be a necessity and a wise decision. Everything is solved very simply if you discuss it seriously and together.
