Let's live in harmony
Those who have walked through the valley of destroyed relationships remember what pain separation brings from one who lives in your heart, with whom you became one flesh, whom you were accustomed to care for and tend.
Our age can boldly be called the age of attacks on the institution of family. What amazes is how simply strange laws are issued, declaring as family that which is not. Violation of the seventh commandment is no longer considered a crime and is vigorously promoted in many films and books. Young couples do not plan to register their relationships, but seek one who will satisfy them in sex. And sex itself has become so accessible that a person need only want it, and he can immediately receive the necessary pleasures without entering marriage. And all this and similar abominations have a great influence on the mind and desperately try to penetrate the ranks of God's church, destroying from within what God has joined together.
If I ask you whether cutting off a leg is a good and useful thing, then I think you will answer: "No." And you will be right. But if there is inflammation on the leg that threatens the whole body and a person's life, then its amputation is necessary, and one must reconcile with this and live further already without a leg. Jesus also taught that if your member causes you to stumble, then it is better for you to cut it off and enter Eternity without it.
This temptation can be:
Ungodly influence of lustful thoughts about another partner;
Thoughts about divorce from a lawful spouse without any grounds;
My carnal nature, which destroys family happiness with its nagging and anger;
Any kind of violence from the other half, threatening my health and life;
Physical infidelity of the marriage partner with another person, which is done in secret or became known;
Open hatred of the spouse toward my Savior and constant compulsion to blaspheme God;
Compulsion from the wife or husband to ungodly life; And much similar to this.
But not in all cases is amputation of the leg needed. If it simply hurts, then it should not be cut off. It should be treated.
Human will is now so weakened under the onslaught of worldly temptations that any test of faithfulness for many spouses becomes a reason for dissolution of marriage.
For example, my friends decided to divorce, and I tried to find out the reason. It turned out that the wife was not satisfied with such a husband who was not able to take her to the sea and lead her through restaurants. And the husband was not able to satisfy the desires of his wife, who constantly compared him with movie heroes. And the husband also did not want to take loans for such affairs. I had to explain for a very long time, with God's help, to these people the economic rules for running a household and "stretching legs according to the blanket." As a result, the marriage was preserved, and much was reconsidered and put in place by the spouses.
In one city, church leadership made a decision to give permission for divorce to all who wished, but with one condition. They had to live together for a month in a special hotel. This was one room with a shower and toilet. In it was one narrow bed with one pillow and one blanket, one table with two chairs, one large plate, one glass and one spoon. The spouses were forbidden to use means of communication, read, watch or listen to anything from outside and leave the boundaries of this room. They had to eat and drink only what they were given. Food was brought to them three times a day and placed in a plate from which they had to eat in turn.
If after a month they still insisted on divorce, then their marriage was dissolved without any objections. But for some reason after such a procedure no one even planned to separate.
The world steals spouses from each other, and they have no time left in this swift race to nowhere to stop and know the one who lives with you under one roof. Care for each other goes to the background. The desire to acquire and have everything that the world offers has become the main goal of the modern family. And how in such a whirlpool can one build what should have a completely different foundation?
And here we are talking about believing people. When houses, dachas, cars, travels become the meaning of life, and there is no time for knowing God and each other, then what to expect from such a union?
When priorities are incorrectly arranged in the family, then problems in relationships will not be long in coming. But problems are not something evil, but opportunities to investigate them together and come to a common solution.
If there is no respect for the person who lives nearby in relationships, then this spirit also brings discord and manifests itself everywhere.
A family that prays together will always be together. The Lord knows how to keep in peace and love those who strive for this and seek God's blessing, wanting to be this blessing themselves.
Love helps to see all family cares in the right light and solve all tasks in the spirit of truth.
When two egoists decided to create one family, they should devote their time to studying the laws of a happy family and follow together in this direction. Happiness is worth investing time, energy and means in it. And it will certainly be.
Very good help is provided by communication with family counselors who are called and appointed by God for this ministry. A sober view from the side on many family problems can shed light on many incomprehensible questions.
Intemperance in food, in sex, in entertainment, in spending money, in viewing worldly content also harmfully affects relationships.
The absence of any kind of service for the benefit of other people also does not contribute to creating a happy family.
Sin destroys everything, but it has no place in the house of those who wish to live in peace with God and each other.
God hates divorces without weighty reasons, because any break in relationships brings grief, and everyone suffers, including children.
God experienced divorce with the most perfect members of the Heavenly family. When a family is destroyed, there are no winners here. The Lord does not experience happiness from the fact that many members of His family chose the path of sin and now draw others to perdition. But even in Heaven came a moment when amputation became necessary, and it proved impossible to sew the inflamed part of the body back.
And if there are children in the family, then they also suffer greatly from their parents' divorce, considering themselves guilty of what happened. It is very difficult for them to understand why their dear papa and mama became enemies, and then began to live with strange uncles and aunts.
I know cases when my acquaintances experienced infidelity of another spouse. It is painful to see or bear such things. Many did not know what to do further, and I said that by law you can divorce, but you can also forgive, it's up to you to decide. Some chose preservation of the family. It is sad that such things happen, but for someone such sin became a springboard to salvation. The Lord forgives sin when a person realizes his guilt and repents, but the consequences of lawlessness must be borne until death.
Love knows how to forgive many things. It does not remember evil, but always gives a chance for something better. Somewhere it behaves firmly, and somewhere it is so tender and obliging that you marvel at how it can solve the most complex tasks.
