The charm of femininity
At the very beginning of my life with God I bought myself a book by Sergey Kurdakov entitled: "Forgive Me, Natasha!" In it the author describes persecution of believers during the Soviet Union times and how he participated in this and how much they paid for it. But it was interesting to read about how he met a believing girl named Natasha, how he was charmed by her femininity and for her sake left this evil occupation, and later repented and believed in Christ, fleeing from a military ship. And the very title of the book speaks volumes. The most amazing thing in this whole story was that, being a girl of few words, Natasha conducted herself very quietly and at interrogations meekly answered the questions asked. But her femininity and devotion to God made such an indelible impression on Sergey that, even being an unbelieving person possessed by demons, he was charmed by the inner beauty of one who decided to be faithful to God even in the face of mortal danger.
We sometimes don't even suspect what influence we have on the world through our dedication to God and who we are in Him. Not all believers possess this amazing quality, and not everyone charms even when it is present in a person.
Charm is a quality or property that attracts. It evokes delight or admiration in other people. This can be connected with pleasant appearance, appeal or a special way of communication or behavior.
The charm of femininity is the attractiveness that a woman radiates thanks to expressed feminine traits and her devotion to God. It is also connected with how a woman knows how to be attentive, caring and emotionally supportive. This makes her especially attractive and warm. The charm of femininity is not only external influence, but also inner strength that attracts attention and creates a harmonious atmosphere. This is a woman's ability to find balance between tenderness and strength, between sensuality and determination. It creates a balanced image that attracts attention and conveys a positive impression about the personality possessing it.
Sometimes it is difficult to express in words what happens in the heart when such a person appears in your life. This can probably be described in this way. When she passes by, you feel good, and when she stands nearby, you are happy.
Of course, in such evaluation of a person the human factor can work, when you are charmed by the picture and attractive appearance without inner content. However, when this beautiful person begins to speak and shows her inner state, then you see the picture as a whole. In the case where inner devotion to God is absent in a woman's life, then all her charm bursts like a soap bubble, and then it is impossible to restore something and return to the first impression.
But the presence of femininity in the heart manifests itself differently. Perhaps a woman will not attract attention at first due to modest appearance, meek and quiet spirit. But when this inner devotion to God comes out, then you simply cannot help but admire that masterpiece of combination of holiness and natural inclination to good and love, which attract you with their soul purity.
And if this person is also your friend, then you not only spontaneously admire this soul, but have access to her inner world and can discover in more detail for yourself the entire sequence of God's grace working in a person, being convinced that it does not work in vain.
God is interested in His daughters being feminine, reflecting true God's character in their lives, and His sons being courageous, showing the world the true image and likeness of Christ.
And in order to see each other in the right light, understanding all human imperfection and not paying attention to hidden character flaws, we are given mutual agape love, which faithfully represents us to each other, covering a multitude of defects.
The charm of femininity also includes a woman's ability to create an atmosphere of warmth and coziness, both within herself and around. This can be expressed through care, love of beauty and ability to find joy in trifles, which makes a woman attractive and inspiring. And with all this there is natural cheerfulness that helps you see the world with different eyes.
Respect and tact in relationships evokes reciprocal respect and forms in me special control of thoughts and feelings, not allowing any lust to cross out that heavenly atmosphere that the Holy Spirit creates between us.
It is the Lord who forms in a brother's mind true charm with the femininity of his new believing friend, so that through this influence He connects His children in the closest relationships of love and friendship.
It happens that you love a friend and rejoice in him from a pure heart, and are ready to listen to him tirelessly and be with him, but cannot explain why you relate to this person exactly this way.
There is an external factor, thanks to which through superficial acquaintance you are able to turn your attention to a person, but when you also see the inner beauty of a soul open to love and close relationships in Jesus, then this charm reaches its true goal and delights the heart from within.
Giving us the commandment about loving one another, the Lord anticipated those amazing discoveries that we would experience in relationships, and how we would charm each other with our belonging to Christ. What could be tastier than a friend who, like you, loves Jesus and is tuned to the same love for you? Only Christ can surpass all these advantages of our mutual love.
I think that if we had the opportunity to personally meet with Jesus, then we would all be unanimously charmed by His Divine character, which would harmoniously touch all spheres of our earthly existence and complement everything that the soul so needs.
Something similar we can see in each other, falling under the charm of femininity and masculinity. When we feel good with each other, and we are happy in communication, showing unchanging love and respect, then we can safely say that God's plan of our transformation is successfully accomplished by His Holy Spirit.
Although initially the charm of femininity may evoke strong emotional admiration, but the more and closer you know this amazing person, the more you are affirmed within yourself that this is not just a beautiful person inside and out, but also your friend in Jesus, who is given to you to always delight your heart and be your friend forever. And when heartfelt attachment is already established between us, then the Lord reveals to us such depths of relationships in love and friendship that everyone begins to recognize His disciples in us. And you are not only externally charmed by the beauty of the soul, but know how it looks inside.
Whether we want it or not, we cannot hide God in ourselves. He will necessarily manifest Himself in that wonderful gift of charm that will attract new souls to us.
